Overview

Barnacle Cottage sleeps six in three bedrooms.  The main, two storey part of the house is built in the style of a traditional Islay whitehouse, with sash windows, but the sitting room extension has a fully glazed frontage which affords panoramic views, taking in Kilnaughton Bay to the north, Carraig Fhada lighthouse to the east and Kintyre and Arran to the south.

The cottage is equipped for birdwatchers, with a small library of bird books as well as the popular ‘birders’ beanbag’ by the sitting room window, where you can note down all the day’s observations in a notebook!
